The LLS Club at CSUF was privileged in welcoming Maritza E. Ruiz, (MD Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist) in providing insight into what she personally experiences day to day. Members got the opportunity to engage in trivia and learn all about what the job entails.

The LLS Club at CSUF enjoyed speaking to Angela Fleischman (MD, PhD) & Savanna Perry (PA-C) in providing knowledge on what they have experienced in their field.

Angela Fleishman: Associate Professor within the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of California, Irvine. Research interests consist of Myeloproliferative neoplasm, hematologic malignancies, along with hematopoiesis. The overarching goal is to identify what drives disease initiation in Myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN), a chronic leukemia, and use this knowledge to develop therapies to treat and prevent this disease.

Savanna Perry: Currently a Physician Assistant working at a Dermatology office in Georgia. Now is a Pre-PA Coach, where she has created a Physician Assistant School Interview Guide book for prospective PA's and is currently the owner of PA Platform. The book includes key details on how to prepare for mock interviews and succeed in the field.
