The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Visionaries of the Year campaign is a 10-week philanthropic competition for leaders in local communities across the United States. Candidates and their teammates raise funds for LLS in honor of local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year. The title "Visionary" is awarded to the candidate whose team raises the most funds during the competition. The top man & woman candidates in the country are awarded the national title. As part of the competition, teams that raise over $50,000 are given the opportunity to select a research portfolio to support and name the portfolio in memory of someone who passed or is a survivor. The campaign kickoff starts on March 22^nd and ends with the grand finale celebration on June 3^rd.

In spring 2021, our team raised $13,488.05! We are extremely grateful and want to give our thanks to the tremendous generosity and support of our donors. This was accomplished through direct donations, sponsorships, Grand Finale Silent Auction, as well as fundraising events such as our Virtual Trivia For Charity event.

In Fall 2020, LLS Club at CSUF participated virtually in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night fundraising campaign. Light The Night brings light to the darkness of cancer by funding life-saving research and support for people battling cancer. Family, friends, and co-workers gather together to celebrate, honor, or remember those touched by cancer.

This year, LLS Club at CSUF raised $4,478 for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night fundraising campaign!
